The programme provides multiple perspectives and tools for understanding and working through human dilemmas in organisations. This broader and deeper perspective on human behaviour, and how it affects leadership, becomes an essential part of your success as a leader. In addition, we help senior leaders identify alternative pathways for their own personal and professional growth.

Delivered in-person, leaders present and discuss critical leadership, business, and life challenges in depth in a safe, supportive and intimate environment.

    • Seasoned executives
    • Senior executives who are transitioning to other P&L roles, independent or executive board positions, or to philanthropic or entrepreneurial ventures

      • Senior executives, typically with 10-15 years of professional experience
      • Senior executives who are transitioning to other P&L roles, independent or executive board positions, or to philanthropic or entrepreneurial ventures
      • Founders and tech entrepreneurs who are moving their companies into scale-up phase
      • Executives who are in line for promotion or a focus of senior-level talent development in their organisations

      Learning Outcomes

      The intimate, focused group approach of the Leadership Mystique programme generates learning and insights much more quickly than individual coaching within an organisational context, leading to several crucial outcomes:

      Awareness: An understanding of the importance of self-awareness.

      Understanding: The ability to understand and contain influential undercurrents within groups (teams, clients, functional divisions, etc.).

      Knowledge: An understanding of the effect of systemic forces on human behaviour.

      Personal Development: Understanding of your inner world, your leadership behaviour, the dynamics within groups you lead, and your organisational culture.

      Programme Design

      To create a learning environment that is appropriate for senior executives, the Leadership Mystique programme is designed to:

      • Open a space for personal reflection on your life experiences. How do they shape your leadership behaviours? What life and career changes would you like to consider?
      • Create a peer advisory board within your participant group. Sharing experiences and life stories brings insights relevant to your own personal and leadership challenges.
      • Provoke experimentation with new learning during and between modules, to provide broader and deeper perspectives on thorny organisational human dilemmas.

      Participants explore a variety of organisational challenges, such as:

      • human due diligence in mergers and acquisitions
      • containing toxic senior executives who deliver results but destroy people
      • multi-party negotiations with external groups (shareholders, unions)
      • incremental or acute situations of unplanned change
      • breaking away from tunnel vision and stale strategy
      • preparing for succession
      • exploring how senior leaders’ personal ‘hardwiring’ affects the top team as well as the entire organisation, and what can be done about it

      The programme also offers several distinct advantages:

      • Our faculty’s applied academic research and decades of experience in working with senior executives in a group setting
      • A live case presentation approach that draws on the accumulated knowledge of participants in the programme, giving leaders a wide range of high-level perspectives for reflection and action
      • Access to our sense-making tools and models for in-programme learning and practical application at the personal and organisational levels
      • A very low ratio of participants to faculty, typically 4:1
      • A widely diverse group of participants (genders and life stages; industries and cultures; public, private, not for profit and NGOs)
      • A time-effective pace over a period of six months. The mirroring effect of working with fellow participants leads to deeper and broader insights more quickly

      How to apply

      The first step is to complete the online application form.

      The Admissions Committee then review all applications and hold a virtual 1-hour interview with selected candidates to ensure that your experience, motivations, and expectations are in line with the programme content. During the interview, you will also learn more about the programme, enabling you to make a more informed decision about your attendance. Once your interview has concluded, the Admissions Committee will advise on the outcome as soon as possible.

      Places on the programme are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis taking into consideration applicants’ levels, objectives, and the diversity of the cohort.  As the number of seats is strictly limited to 16 participants, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
